American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A marvellously written book, though by the end my interest was diminished.
I had much admiration for Alice until she became First Lady. She became rather flat in her obvious distaste for the role. I understand that she cannot make policy etc, but she could have been a little more dynamic.
All that aside, I felt I had much to learn from this book; that I had much to learn from Alice.
